Board of Directors
Mullein Hill Christian Academy is administered by a Board of Directors. This board is responsible for establishing the policies governing the academy as well as developing the long-term vision for the academy. The members of the board are as follows:
Karen Burton President
Graduated from Bridgewater State College with a BS in elementary education. She has been teaching for nearly 20 years, 11 of which were served at Mullein Hill Christian Academy. Karen's daughter, Kelsey, who will be graduating from college in December, attended MHCA from kindergarten through 8th grade. Although Karen currently teaches in the Fall River public school system, her heart is still fully devoted to MHCA. She has been honored to be a member of the Board for three years, serving as Board president for the past 2 years. Karen is a member of Christ Community Church in East Taunton.
Michelle Wentworth Vice President
A graduate of Rhode Island College with a BA in Communications. She also holds a JD degree from Southern New England School of Law. Michelle's two children, Billy and Nathan both graduated from MHCA. Mrs. Wentworth enjoyed volunteering at MHCA in various ways whether serving in the lunchroom, substitute teaching or fundraising. She is looking forward to continue serving the school while on the Board.
Lisa Densman Secretary
A graduate of Bridgewater State University with a BS in secondary education. Lisa's daughter Shelby attended MHCA for eleven years graduating in May of 2010. She is a long time supporter of MHCA and the service the school provides to our Lord and the community. Lisa works for Johnson & Johnson and is a member of Central Congregational Church in Middleboro.
Scott Costa Treasurer
Considers his service to MHCA a privilege, serving as the Board Treasurer for the past three years. Both of Scott's children attended the Mullein Hill Christian Academy , with his daughter graduating in May 2010. Scott holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from UMass Dartmouth and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Gerel Crosby Director
A graduate of Bridgewater State University with a BS in education. A life-long resident of Lakeville and a long-time member of Mullein Hill Baptist Church, Gerel helped found Mullein Hill Christian Academy and has served on the board since its inception.
Sally Kitner Director
Accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior at the age of 11. After high school she attended Moody Bible Institute and then Barrington College in R.I. with a B.A. degree in elementary education. For 3 years she taught in R.I. while her husband finished his time of service in the navy. The Kitners were accepted as missionaries with Trans World Radio and spent 25 years serving the Lord in Africa. Sally taught in a missionary school for most of those years. Leaving Africa with their four children, they returned to the U.S. Sally taught the third grade at New Testament Christian School for five years before retiring from teaching. She joined the board at Mullein Hill Christian Academy 2 years ago.
